Cambridge Who's Who Names Fritz Harris-Glade Professional of the Year in Architecture
Mr. Harris-Glade believes that any job worth doing is worth doing properly
KAILUA KONA, HI, September 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fritz Harris-Glade, AIA, LEED AP, Managing Director of FHG Architects AIA, LLC, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Architecture. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
With over 35 years of experience in the design and construction industry Mr. Harris-Glade has spent the past 16 years as managing director of FHG Architects AIA, LLC. Mr. Harris-Glade oversees all business operations, including client relations, proposals and contract negotiations. He is also responsible for designing hotels, commercial office buildings and custom residential projects. He attributes his success to his belief that if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing properly. Although his decision to become an architect was a departure from his family's traditional profession of accounting, Mr. Harris-Glade credits his father, a college professor, with teaching him the value of hard work.
Mr. Harris-Glade completed the prestigious Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP) at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design in 2006. He also earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado in 1976 where he was awarded the Alpha Rho Chi School Medal and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Architecture from the University of Detroit in 1974. He currently holds memberships to the American Institute of Architects, U.S. Green Building Council, Urban Land Institute, and Professional Association of Diving Instructors. Mr. Harris-Glade plans to travel to Belize next spring with a cadre of graduate students from Harvard University to participate in an on-site design charrette for the proposed Myan Plantation project.
