Local Plymouth Architect, McCaren Design, Celebrates 18th Anniversary
Architects practice McCaren Design is celebrating their coming of age this month after 18 years in business. Staff at the practice, which specialises in high quality residential architecture, marked the occasion by cracking open the bubbly.

PLYMOUTH, ENGLAND, April 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Plymouth based architect, McCaren Design, was founded in 1992 as the private architectural practice of Director Robin McCaren. From the modest beginnings of his first job - an extension to a house in Plymouth - the business has steadily grown with current projects ranging in value between GBP30K to GBP3 million. The practice has a varied portfolio of over 700 projects, which belies the practice's compact size. With quality, creativity and detail at the heart of the practice the team have a well-deserved reputation for excellent design and gaining planning permission on difficult sites.

McCaren Design's commitment to quality architecture and excellent professional relationships means that they have worked with many clients for almost as long as the practice has been in business. One property owner, whose commission for a nursing home extension was one of McCaren Design's first projects in 1992, remains a valued client today. The practice recently added to a list of successful projects completed for this client by gaining planning permission for four houses on a site adjoining the nursing home.

The approach the practice takes has seen McCaren Design successfully survive two recessions in an industry which operates at the sharp end of fluctuations in the property market.
