Possessing 38 years of expertise in historical structures, Sandra Smith loves a great revival
BOSTON, MA, June 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandra Smith, Principal of TRO Jung|Brannen, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of architecture.
Ms. Smith's expertise lies in renovating historical structures. She brings 38 years of experience as an architect at TRO Jung|Brannen, an architecture, interior architecture, engineering and planning firm. As a principal, she is in charge of managing projects and supervising teams. She is currently working on a 28-story hotel, a residence and a large data center project. Ms. Smith decided to become an architect because she was inspired by her father, who was an engineer. She attributes her success to her diligence and enthusiasm for her work.
An alumna of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Ms. Smith completed her Master's Degree in Architecture in 1971 and Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the Road Island School of Design. She also holds a professional accreditation in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. She is affiliated with the Boston Society of Architects, New England Women in Real Estate, the American Institute of Architects, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Recognitions with which Ms. Smith was honored include a Brookline Preservation Award in 1991, a Networking Award for the W Hotel and Residence from New England Women in Real Estate in 2009, a Mayor Menino Bronze Award for Bike Friendly Business in 2009, an award from the New England Regional Council of the American Institute of Architects, and a National Trust Award for Historical Preservation for the Marriott Custom House Tower in 1999.
