Two premier planning practices to merge
Two of the Sunshine Coast's premier planning practices - Dillon Folker Stephens Pty Ltd with Schomburgk Planning Pty Ltd are merging their practices.

/Architecture News Articles/ - QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, August 26, 2008 - It gives us great pleasure to announce the merger of two of the Sunshine Coast's premier planning practices - Dillon Folker Stephens Pty Ltd with Schomburgk Planning Pty Ltd. The merger will relate only to the development application (DA) components of Schomburgk Planning, and will be effective from Monday 18 August 2008.

Many of you may know Chris Schomburgk, the principal of Schomburgk Planning, and will be familiar with his wealth of knowledge and expertise. Chris has practiced as a town planner for over 30 years. He has held senior management positions in local government , State government (DLGP) and private sector. He is also a well respected expert witness in the Planning and Environment Court.

Schomburgk Planning will remain as an independent entity, but its work will be limited to expert witness evidence for appeals to the Planning & Environment Court, Land Court, Supreme Court and Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

This merger really just formalises an on-going friendly liaison, as it re-unites old working relationships of the 1990s, when Peter and Kari both worked with Chris (although at different times) at Schomburgk and Partners and C&B Group respectively. Gary and Chris have also known each other professionally for many years. We're pleased to say that we have remained friends over the years.
